Irreversible temperature measuring strips & spots
Self-adhesive indicators with a series of temperature sensitive elements housed behind transparent windows. When its nominal temperature is reached, each element undergoes a complete color change. This change of color is irreversible, i.e. it remains, regardless of surface temperature changes that may occur later. Removing the labels from the surface presents no problem, and they remain intact e.g. for inclusion in inspection reports.

How do they work?
The temperature sensitive elements are made from phase transforming materials. They exploit the closely defined melting points of a series of special pure organic chemicals to achieve their highly accurate color change effect. Each temperature element consists of a different blend of chemicals, specifically manufactured for a coating process involving special absorbent paper substrates. As soon as the intended temperature is reached, the chemicals melt and are absorbed by the substrate whose color is thus permanently changed. Up to ten elements can be combined together on a single label.
