Perfect humidity? Let it show its true colors!
Today more than ever, humidity indicator cards (HIC) are being used in an increasing number of applications including: military, aerospace, sensitive electronics, and industrial manufacturing.
They are an accurate, reversible method of monitoring desiccant activity levels in a controlled atmosphere.
The humidity color change indicators and plugs allow visual inspection of the condition of a sealed package by readily detecting any change in the water vapor ratio (relative humidity) by means of an easy to read color change element. According to TL 6685-0003 and MIL-I-8835, the indicator spots will change from blue (dry condition) to pink (humid condition).
The HICs are ideal for the “Dry Pack” concept. Dry Pack is a three-component process:
1. A barrier bag which seals moisture out.
2. A desiccant bag inside the barrier bag to absorb moisture
3. A humidity indicator card which indicates relative humidity.
